Job Title: Construction Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Construction Inspector to perform daily inspections of construction projects, monitoring quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings, and project specifications. Inspections will span multiple disciplines, including structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, etc., and may involve visual/physical inspection and field testing to verify conformance with plans and specifications. The successful candidate will prepare inspection reports, provide written documentation of observations and testing of materials, and communicate findings to the project team. The role involves strict adherence to safety standards and requires maintaining quality standards on all projects.

Hard Skills

• Construction Inspection experience

• CWI certification

• ICC certified inspector/welding inspector (or able to get it once hired)

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.

Work Environment

This role offers a standard work schedule of 8 am- 5 pm from Monday to Friday, with potential work on Saturdays if needed. A work truck is provided, requiring an MVR. The position typically involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions, hearing heavy operating equipment, and may require work at heights, in confined spaces, and exposure to noise. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including hard hats, safety-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection equipment, respiratory protection, and appropriate clothing. Regular physical activities include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling materials, climbing, balancing, talking, and hearing. The role may require lifting and moving up to 30 pounds and may be subject to Hazmat and respiratory medical monitoring. Overnight travel in support of projects in varying locations may also be required.
