CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Construction Inspection Section Manager to join our Infrastructure - Construction Inspection group in our Indianapolis, IN office.
CHA provides a full complement of construction administration and inspection services to monitor, record and deliver projects. Our team includes seasoned certified construction professionals cross-trained in design, project and risk management, and health and safety compliance. Cross-training makes our team collaborative, cognizant and confidently pragmatic in understanding design and construction issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Construction Inspection Section Manager will be responsible for the management of staff in their respective group within the Project Team. This individual will be measured on their staff's technical quality, utilization of the discipline's staff across all markets, staff turnover, and adherence to project budgets. The Construction Inspection Section Manager will organize, direct and coordinate activities associated with the project scope of work either individually or collectively with their staff.
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
A Bachelor's degree is required or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Site manager certification required
INDOT Testing proficiencies required
Passing of INDOT certified technician exams required
Valid driver's license required
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
3 years of experience is required. Previous project or team management experience preferred.
A Construction Inspection Section Manager will manage a team of 3 or more direct reports.
Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency in his/her respective discipline.
Technically astute and strategic in thinking to manage the activity within the team.
An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups.
A high energy, results-oriented, resourceful leader.
Ability to resolve matters timely and lead projects to completion with a sense of urgency
Ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships across the company.
Experience with project budgeting preferred.
Demonstrates a basic understanding of accounting processes.
Demonstrates knowledge of the discipline's technical processes.
