Job Description:

Parsons celebrates 75 years of supporting global initiatives in environmental, infrastructure, water, energy, power, renewables, healthcare, education, and communications.

We are looking for a Field Engineer / Construction Quality Assurance Inspector who exhibits great problem-solving skills, a "can do" approach, and thrives in a high-energy environment. In this role, you will work with a team of design engineers supporting a multi-million remediation/construction project, that includes barrier wall installation (slurry walls and sheet piling), dredging, liner installation, soil excavations, slope stability, and utility relocation. This role would be supporting work in the Calvert City, KY area.- a travel allowance could be provided

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact in the field for communication with the contractor and the Owner.

  • Provide independent health and safety observation and use Parsons "Stop Work" authority to identify and stop potential imminent hazards.

  • Observe, document, and report the work, material, and equipment compliance with the drawings, specifications, and quality assurance plan and identify non-compliance items.

  • Observe contractor's quality control inspections and test and review test results.

  • Identify non-compliances and notify the contractor.

  • Re-inspect work when corrections have been made.

  • Develop quality assurance daily reports (including photos) on a daily basis.

  • Work effectively and collaboratively with the project team.

  • The candidate must also implement behavior-based safety tools to achieve incident-free operations (no personal injuries, property damage, or environmental releases) for both client and Parsons.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineer or related field.

  • 5+ years of related work experience in field engineering, construction quality assurance or construction oversight is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft software and various computer software applications.

  • Requires a demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills.

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred, but not required.

This position requires a Fit for Duty exam as part of the job requirements. Successful completion of this exam(s) will be required post-offer acceptance, prior to you being able to continue in the hiring process and onboarding.

Salary Range:

$59,300.00 - $103,800.00
