Construction Estimator

Actalent is hiring a Cost Manager/Estimator to join a consultancy working on semiconductor projects! This role is open to Project Managers with estimating experience and those with industrial process piping experience looking to make a switch to an Owner's Rep role.

Description:

Prepare estimates at conceptual, design development & construction design phases.

Help expand the engineering scope & quantity information based on professional knowledge, experience and historical data

Production of cost walks between estimate milestones.

Prepare estimates for options, VE and trend items.

Attend design review meetings, driving focus on cost impact items to inform project trending.

Support and partner with project procurement and finance groups. Including package RFP support & evaluate cost reporting/forecasting activities.

Participate in change order meetings and collaborating with project managers in validating and pricing the changes across trade specialties

Participate in the review of contractor estimates for completeness and accuracy

Skills:

Estimation, Construction, microsoft excel, Construction management, Estimating software, mechanical, process piping, process mechanical, Electrical, Cost estimate, Blueprint

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

5 years in construction management preferred

Degree in Construction Management or similar field preferred

Experience with Estimating software (Strong MS Excel Skills)

Background and knowledge in Mechanical Process construction

Project experience within Semiconductor, hi-tech, or Oil and Gas market sectors preferred
