Reporting to the Manager of Construction & Commissioning Excellence US (CCE) team. This position will be responsible for providing technical expertise for construction, engineering, governance and compliance. The position will support the development, implementation and sustainment of the Construction & Commissioning Excellence (CCE) US Program. This includes but not limited to: Partnering with TransCanada Business Units to establish a sustainable governance/assurance program to enable successful project execution. Establish consistent training and on-boarding tools for construction inspection staffs and construction managers. Establish consistency and standardization to construction specifications used for various project types (spec packs). Deliver assurance of the CCE program minimum requirements to the organization. Support individual Business Units to resolve issues with Construction, Compliance and internal TransCanada Construction Specification interpretation.
Establish, implement and maintain CCE US Program Construction "Minimum Requirements" for Pipeline, Facilities and Integrity work streams;
Establish, implement and maintain CCE US Program "Assurance Program" for Pipeline, Facilities and Integrity work streams;
Subject Matter Expert and Owner of the US Gas & Liquids Pipeline Construction Specifications (US Gas/Liquids PCS), responsible to maintain, revise and respond to RFI's, OFI's and address non conformances.
Manage Variance Requests pertaining to Construction Specifications, responsible to process within the CCE Program timeframe;
Support TransCanada Business Units with: TransCanada Construction Specification knowledge and interpretation, create the appropriate "Spec Packs" for specific project types, answer construction/constructability questions, interpret and solve compliance issues;
Participate in CCE US Program Assurance initiatives;
Assist to Establish, Implement and Maintain CCE US Training and On-Boarding for Construction Inspection Resources and Construction Managers;
Lead and Assist CCE US Program continuous improvement initiatives;
Other tasks as required.

Requires an accredited University Engineering Degree, required;
Professional Engineer Certification (PE), preferred;
6 years Natural Gas experience, preferred.
Depending on the qualifications of the applicants, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level and/or ladder.
