Position Summary

Internship positions at Jacobs provide college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of study. Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides interns invaluable experiences applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.

  • Skills and Abilities: Some knowledge of surveying or highway construction. General knowledge of mathematical functions. Ability to read and interpret such things as plans and specifications and good communications ability.

  • Perform a range of routine and standardized work requiring knowledge and application of basic construction principles under close supervision.

  • Perform contract administrative duties and daily documentation of construction progress including daily reports, measurements of work in place, photographs, etc.

  • Perform independent and routine inspections of construction processes and materials to ensure compliance.

  • Work schedule is variable and may involve night and/or weekend assignments.

  • Commit to ensuring a safe workplace through strict adherence to safety programs.

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in at least their junior year within a Civil Engineering or Construction Management curriculum

  • At least a 3.0 GPA is preferred

  • Previous internship experience is preferred

  • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment

  • Ability to work in both a field and office environment and may require extended periods of time in the field, accessing work areas by foot, ladder, elevated platform, or entering confined spaced.

VIEW JOBS 10/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-11T00:00 Position Summary The Quality Engineering Intern will obtain relevant and practical work/training experience as it relates to Quality Systems, ISO, root cause analysis of quality problems, internal process audits, and data analysis to identify corrective and preventive action. Responsibilities * Support new product quality and inspection teams at Rexnord's Canal St. facility in Milwaukee. * Implement Process PFMEA and control plans. * Student will work closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering team to understand Quality requirements and develop solutions for Quality problems. * Take ownership/work with functional departments in 5-Why and corrective action process. * Student may also develop applications specific product enhancements to existing gear drives to meet customer specific requirements. * Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate will have the drive to complete projects, yet not be afraid to ask questions to ensure quality work.
