Construction Engineer Intern

Overview

An internship opportunity with Lemartec is a rewarding experience that promotes the building of our team members' careers for the future. Intern is responsible for supporting and assisting the Project Manager with administration and management of one of Lemartec's projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with Administering Accounting/Job Costs/Work in Progress (WIP) Updates

• Secure drawings and specifications to support the process of obtaining bids from qualified subcontractors, selecting a qualified candidate, and negotiating the subcontract. As the work progresses, may be called to act as a liaison between the project team and the contractor.

• Support for Field Change Order and Request for Information (RFI) Processes

Qualifications

• Student studying architecture, engineering, or construction management - or similar

• Knowledge of the construction industry, including methods, engineering, equipment, technology, and safety

• Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills

• Self-motivated; capable of taking initiative, successfully handling and prioritizing multiple competing assignments and effectively managing deadlines
