Job Title: Construction Engineer
Job Description
Seeking a proactive Construction Engineer to coordinate project activities, provide oversight to inspection staff, and ensure compliance with regulations. The role includes managing project timelines, costs, and quality assurance while acting as a Resident Project Representative (RPR) as needed. The position involves frequent travel across Indiana and Kentucky, requiring a reliable personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursable at the federal rate.
Hard Skills
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
Experience with water line, sewer line, storm sewer line projects
Ability to read and interpret construction plan sets, drawings, and specifications
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel for document preparation
Skills in project cost analysis, bidding, estimating, and risk assessment
Soft Skills
Strong coordination and communication skills
Leadership and training capabilities
Ability to provide guidance and oversight effectively

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Work Environment
This role involves working both in-office and on-field across various sites. The construction department consists of 28 employees, promoting a collaborative and dynamic work setting.
