Overview

The Construction Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the logistical strategy and ensuring organizational procedures are in place and followed. This includes management and tracking of company iniatives, interdepartmental communication and efficiencies. The Construction Coordinator will be responsible for helping to oversee the departmental software and solutions, ticketing system and training for the Construction team; while championing and supporting general needs of Construction leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred)

  • Proven experience in construction project coordinator or simliar role

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, terminology and best practices

  • Proficient in project management software and tools; including: Timberline/Sage, SmartSheet, Finishline, Openspace, Procore & camera operating systems

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards

  • Analytical experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

Standard Operating Procedures

  • Responsible for SOP document management and storage

  • Coordinate SOP planning and review sessions

  • Assist with template creation, process flowcharts and updating software settings

  • Assist with distribution of SOPs and training

Project Tracking, Organization & Reporting

Project Management:

  • Create and organize initial project setup

  • Required to maintain active project documentation and file storage setup/management

  • Maintain deliverables within active project portfolio

  • Assist with Post Project Analysis Reports and schedule group meetings

Safety:

  • Assist with Safety Consultant communication

  • Coordinate and manage employee OSHA 10 & 30 training program

FHA:

  • Assist with FHA Consultant communication

  • Ensure compliance with FHA training requirements

  • Setup and Turnover of project FHA & IBC tracking templates

Technology Coordination

Hardware:

  • Evaluate new and existing hardware assigned to team members

  • Setup and assit with implementation and settings

  • Ongoing evaluation of employee's equipment with assistance from IT

Software:

  • With direction from Project Management teams, monitor and assist software for enhancements and new processes

  • Assist in setup and implementation of software for new employees

  • Single contact to filter and assist support for team members

  • Tracking of support issues to propose process or technology changes

  • Schedules, records, documents and responsible for storage of all software trainings

  • User management administration

Employee Onboarding

  • Assigned Onboarding Champion as liaison between Buckingham Construction and New Hire

  • Main point-of-contact between Construction and support services throughout onboarding experience

  • Responsible for coordinating First Day by Design activities with guidance from Hiring Manager

  • Organizes policy training review by direction of Hiring Manager, Vice President and/or Senior Vice President

  • Orders previously approved PPE and apparel, if applicable

Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by Senior Vice President and/or Vice Preisdent.
