Construction Controller

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities Responsible for month-end, quarterly and year-end closings. Manage general ledger and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Prepare and manage financial reports ensuring timely and accurate reporting and compliance with legal requirements and accounting standards (GAAP). Review financial transactions and statements for accuracy and compliance.

Develop and implement financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets and comply with financial regulations. Manage corporate tax obligations and reporting, ensuring compliance with tax laws and optimizing the company's tax position. Collaborate with the finance team on finance, accounting, and payroll activities.

Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities. Prepare monthly management reports to present financials to the management committee. Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management for improvement.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline. Able to work fully onsite Must have Construction experience Must have Sage experience Government Contractor and/or ESOP experience is a plus. Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles. Proficient in MS Office with advanced MS Excel skills.
