Salary Range: $33,394 to $53,773 / Per Year Open Period: 11/15/2018 to 11/14/2019

Summary:
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. For positions requiring positive education requirements, or if you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Experience: Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Engineering aid or technician or surveying technician performing work directly related to construction.

Construction inspector or construction representative responsible for interpreting plans and specifications, inspecting materials and workmanship, and insuring adherence to safety requirements. Supervisor of crafts persons, equipment operators, or mechanics engaged in construction work, provided that the experience involved responsibility for interpreting plans and specifications and inspecting workmanship for adherence to such plans and specifications. OR Education and Training:

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet Minimum Qualifications stated below - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-05:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-04 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Interpreting plans and specifications; monitoring and inspecting construction materials and workmanship, ensure safety requirements are being followed; conduct home surveys, soil percolation tests, and other investigations; operates survey equipment; prepare and submit weekly progress reports; and assist the project engineer in carrying out project management duties; OR, Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses. GS-06:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-05 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Interpreting plans and specifications; monitoring and inspecting construction materials and workmanship, ensure safety requirements are being followed; conduct home surveys, soil percolation tests, and other investigations; operates survey equipment; prepare and submit weekly progress reports; and assist the project engineer in carrying out project management duties. GS-07:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-06 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Interpreting sanitary facilities construction plans and specifications recognizing problem areas; monitoring other workers and inspecting construction materials and workmanship to ensure safety requirements are being followed; conduct home surveys, soil percolation tests, and other investigations for sanitation facilities; prepare and submit progress reports of work activities; responsible for work site readiness and construction scheduling.
