BASIC FUNCTION:
The Construction Contracts Assistant will perform a variety of advanced and complex technical and clerical duties related to contract procurement and processing in the Strategic Sourcing and Contracts department.
There is currently three (3) 40 hour per week positions availableat:

This is a promotional/open opportunity, which means that current monthly-salaried employees receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible list.
For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal applicants will be provided unless there is an insufficient number and then the list will be supplemented with the top external applicants to make up the ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the San Diego Unified School District: Article 2, Section 9).

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to three years of recent paid, full-time, increasingly responsible office-clerical experience in a maintenance, purchasing, or construction setting.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid California driver's license and availability of private vehicle may be required for designated positions (mileage expense allowance provided).
Typing/keyboarding certificate at a net, corrected speed of 40 (*) words per minute.
Applicants must certify in writing that they have such skills. Demonstrated proficiency will be expected during the probationary period for the class.
