Arcadis is looking for a Construction Claims Analyst to join the Contract Solutions team that is primarily based Middletown, CT. Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Construction Claims Analyst will provide vital support to some of our largest regional and national clients. This role can be remote if you are based in Eastern or Central time zones.

Role description:

Construction Claims Analysts are responsible for the complex review and analysis of claims, as well as project documentation and schedules, and the generation of reports and presentations for internal and client meetings. Proficiency in Primavera P6 is a must as regular use of this software is a key part of the job.

Central to the success of this role is a deep understanding of project scheduling and commercial construction work, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of contractor means and methods on a variety of different types of jobs (i.e., transportation, water & wastewater treatment, buildings, power, etc.).

Role accountabilities:

  • Analyze complex construction schedules for ongoing projects and provide opinions, advice and reports on progress and forecasts using Primavera P6 software

  • Evaluate schedule delay/disruption/acceleration and resulting cost impacts.

  • Audit or calculate claims for additional compensation.

  • Review project documentation and digest/summarize in a meaningful way.

  • Read contract language, determine proper interpretation, and apply to facts.

  • Prepare reports, analyses, and other related documentation and present same to clients.

  • Interface effectively with clients, coworkers, and others.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related degree is required.

  • At least one relevant professional license or certification (PE, CCM, PMP, PSP)

  • A minimum of 7 combined years of experience in CPM scheduling, as well as project management and/or construction claims analysis and/or contract change management is required.

  • Experience in project controls, delay analysis, productivity analysis, and the resolution of claims and disputes is preferred.

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $82,400 - $142,140.
