Our client, a leader in the electric and construction industry is in need of an Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist to come in and join their team! This role is temp-to-hire, as they've just promoted their Senior Billing Specialist to a Project Accountant, and located in downtown San Jose. As the Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist will be responsible for: -Time and materials(TnM) Billing, AIA billing, Progress Billing, Conditional Waivers and lien releases processing

  • Processing and data entry of AR invoices

  • Coordinate with PM's and A/R to make any necessary adjustments to invoices, such as back downs and retention adjustments.

  • Prepare conditional releases and affidavits as needed/payment applications.

  • Collection calls, following up via emails

  • Contracts, reviewing and assisting in creating cover pages, submittals, and close-out documents

  • Extracting and pulling data from MS Excel, reviewing spreadsheets The ideal AR/Billing Specialist will have previous construction experience, construction accounting, and ability to multi-task, as well as a quick learner. The client is using their own system, and open to candidates that are tech savvy to pick it up. JOB SUMMARY The role of a Foreman is a specialty trained employee who has expertise in the construction and repair of overhead plant or RF/ Fiber lines. The Foreman will lead a field crew of aerial and/or underground field personnel to complete jobs as directed by their Construction Supervisor and Engineers. The Foreman also has extensive training in specialty equipment to service these overhead and underground projects. A Foreman will also have an extensive and practical knowledge of the RF and Fiber network makeup, its operation and network assets for troubleshooting and repair as well as new construction. PRIMARY DUTIES * Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment. * Vehicle and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certified * Working in manhole systems, verifying and proofing existing conduit systems * Rodding and roping conduit systems * Towing various trailers with flatbed trucks * Provides support for crews during all phases of construction activity * Understand how to read and construct from a design schematic of map * Understand all inventory and equipment required for these projects * Commission safety guidelines * Underground work as needed and directed and as trained * Lead teams in the field effectively and efficiently as needed and directed by supervisor * Understand how to read and construct from a design schematic of map * Understand all inventory and equipment required for these projects * Certified on the use of equipment: * Line truck * Bucket truck * Cable Reel equipment * Saws and drills * Ability to climb poles with climbing equipment safely * Familiar with NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety guidelines * Provide administrative support including submitting and updating paperwork and tracking job activity REQUIREMENTS * Valid US Drivers license * Clean driving record * Required certifications for this position * Lift and carry up to 70 lbs * Ability to read and understand maps, drawings and diagrams for project build process * Must pass UI Test (urinalysis) * Ability to read and understand design schematics and maps * Climbing certification or related experience * Practical working experience of overhead construction for both RF and Fiber * Knowledge of Overhead Bill of Materials * City, County and State clearance code knowledge and related * Extensive knowledge of Network architecture and design for both RF and Fiber networks * Flagger Certified for field work as needed Don't miss this great opportunity!
