PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Under the direction of others, performs compliance, financial, and operational audits, and special projects in accordance with the IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
May perform observations and walk-throughs, document examinations, analytical reviews, reconciliations, and other procedures to meet the objectives of the assignment.
Develop an understanding of construction related internal controls and their impact on related processes, as well as exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills.
Accountable for completing audit steps in a timely and accurate manner.
Assists in assessing compliance with governmental regulatory requirements, financial accounting standards, and company policies to ensure company assets are safeguarded.
Executes assigned audit procedures by reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies and procedures.
Advises supervisor of problems encountered in a timely manner.
Ensures that documentation obtained contains sufficient, competent, and relevant evidential matter to support the conclusions reached.
Collaborates with team members, contributing ideas/opinions and listens/responds to other team members' views.
Maintains confidentiality of all Company information obtained in the normal course of an audit assignment.
Works efficiently in a changing environment.
Perform other job-related duties as requested
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program from an accredited college or university
Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Gain knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing principles and practices, and management principles, and general industry practices.
Gain knowledge of gaming and other regulations, terminology, concepts, and practices.
Skill in collecting and analyzing data, evaluating information and drawing logical conclusions.
Ability to solve problems and possess strong technical and organizational skills.
Skill in using a computer with word processing, spreadsheet, and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries, and analyses.
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff, and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe, cigar and/or cigarette smoking. An ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends and holidays may also be required.
