Construction and Facilities Manager
Virbac Animal Health is seeking a Construction and Facilities Manager for our Maintenance Team. The Construction & Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the construction activities, ensuring building maintenance and supporting utilities maintenance.
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of construction management and Facilities / Utilities maintenance experience. Along with 5 to 10 years of experience in construction management and Facilities / Utilities maintenance.

Responsibilities
Area of responsibility 1: [Construction Projects Management].
Main activities
Plans, coordinates, budgets and supervises assigned construction projects including new construction projects, facility modification and remodeling projects
Works with project teams to create and maintain project schedules, construction plans, budgets and specifications
Coordinates and directs project workers and subcontractors/consultants
Reviews work and project progress on a daily basis
Estimates cost of projects, establishes contracts and specifications for labor materials, and equipment for construction projects, and secures bids from contractors, coordinate room and equipment availability for contractors
Support vendor selection : Scope of work, 3 bid process, qualified contractors, RFQ, RFI
Evaluates and makes recommendations concerning changes in contract documents and ensures that authorized changes are implemented, in accordance with federal, state, and local building code
Designs and implements work in compliance with all safety, site cleanliness, and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP's)
Assure the implantation of Site Specific Risk Safety plans with all trade partners
Working knowledge of cGMP facility construction, remodelling, electrical, HVAC, compressed air mechanical and plumbing for facilities
Ensures quality construction standards and use of proper construction techniques
Facilitates project meetings and ensures communication on project status at each stage
Troubleshoots technical, architectural and engineering issues

Area of responsibility 2: [Utilities maintenance]
Main activities
Supports routine maintenance tasks including: HVAC, USP Purified water generation systems, electrical, hot / cold / chilled water, plumbing repairs, compressed air
Ensures timely closure of assigned quality actions such as Audit Actions, CAPA's, and implements corrective/preventive actions
Initiates and controls lifecycle maintenance programs for a variety of utilities
Supports proper performance and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems within the building to ensure efficient operation
Manages the Facility Management System
Expected results: Defined programs and GMP compliance as demonstrated through internal assessments and external audits/inspections.
Area of responsibility 3: [Building & Facilities management].
Main activities
Supervises contractors for facilities related issues
Supports routine maintenance tasks including: painting, office furniture installation, general building repairs, cleaning, building exteriors and other as assigned
Executes routine inspections of the facilities to ensure all safety and functionality aspects are in line with company expectations
Expected results: Ensuring the management of construction activities, ensuring building maintenance and supporting utilities maintenance is performed in a cost effective and timely manner.
Area of responsibility 4: [Engineering support to Capital projects]
Main activities
Support conceptual and detailed design, procurement, installation, qualification of new equipment, building space allocation and layout, and facility expansion as needed
Works with Operations and various departments on remodels, capital replacements and program rollouts requiring equipment and/or contractor services.
Conducts preliminary surveys and prepares schematic, preliminary and work drawings for the construction and maintenance of new or remodeled facilities
Expected results: Ensuring the management of construction activities, ensuring building maintenance and supporting utilities maintenance is performed in a cost effective and timely manner.
