Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Construction Administrator for immediate employment in the Southfield, MI office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Construction Administration.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Project administration and field construction management

  • Subcontractor scope development, solicitation, pre-qualification, procurement, invoice processing, and oversight

  • Project bid, work plan, risk assessment, and risk mitigation plan development

  • Budget setup, and accounting including project generating estimates to complete, draft invoice ,review and project closeout

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience

  • General knowledge of construction industry, contracting, and subcontracting

  • General knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination and execution, including strategic planning, resource allocation, scheduling, manpower modeling, leadership techniques and production methods

  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Construction safety requirements and operations, including rules, regulations, precautions, prevention, as well as the protection of people, environment, data, and property

  • General knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, costs, and techniques for effective construction activities

  • Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Some travel required. May require enrollment in the medical monitoring program, depending on client requirements, including annual physicals and random drug screenings

  • May require fieldwork in outdoor conditions depending on type of client and project

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, accounting, engineering, architecture, or related field

  • Knowledge of Oracle accounting and experience with Client Relations Management (CRM) software
