Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting with monitoring specialist, technicians and contractors as well as the safety and progress of construction personnel. Observes the progress on new build, rebuild, extension, expansion, design, and planning. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Works independently with minimal guidance. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Acts as liaison with appropriate Comcast engineering personnel, company consultants and vendors.

  • Inspects the quality of work of employees and contractors regularly ensuring that all standards (federal, state and Company) are followed.

  • Implements appropriate methods, practices, policies, procedures and change processes keeping employees informed of changes.

  • Creates and assigns work schedules.

  • Ensures that resources (i.e., vehicles, equipment, and inventory) are maintained in proper working order.

  • Works closely with upper management and participates to ensure the execution of projects.

  • Ensures that logs and reports are created/ updated on construction, projects, materials and expenditures.

  • Serves as a resource to other Specialists on maintaining accurate logs and reports.

  • Assists to plans all facets of the construction process, rendering decision on workflow, production planning and control, material and labor cost control.

  • Reviews, resolves, follows-up customer request and complaints.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.

  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

  • Generally requires 6-8 years related experience.

The incumbents will be required to successfully complete a training plan in order to promote to the goal class of WSS4. Salary ranges for these levels are: * WorkSource Specialist 3: $38,220 - $50,004 annually depending on qualifications. * WorkSource Specialist 4: $42,060 - $55,152 annually depending on qualifications. Duties In this role you will conduct individual interviews to explain program services and activities, assess customer needs, identify appropriate service strategies, and develop recommendations. You'll identify, evaluate and explore solutions to assist in removing barriers for customers. Some of what you'll enjoy doing: * Provide information and guidance regarding effective job search tools and practices. * Develop individual employment service plans. * Facilitate group and/or individual orientations, job preparation activities and workshops. * Ensure customers understand and follow all employment and training directives, expectations, and performance standards. * Determine eligibility for programs, enroll participants and develop employment and training contracts/agreements. * Administer a variety of assessments and career tools, review and explain results. * Incorporate assessment results into employment plans in conjunction with relevant labor market information, preparing and presenting information to customers. * Provide timely responses through all forms of customer service (phone, email, face-to-face). * Record and maintain case notes, service plans, program-related expenditures, and exit outcomes. * Coordinate resources with partners, other employment and training programs and services as necessary to promote maximum utilization of available incentives. * Enter new and/or updated data in multiple data management systems. * Conduct group and individual orientations, and workshops, and supply program specific information about services, benefits, and eligibility. Qualifications Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience in workforce development, social or human resource services, public relations, or public contact work, such as: unemployment insurance, education, public relations, benefits programs, insurance claims, law enforcement, and banking, OR a combination of education and/or relevant experience. OR A Master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience. OR One year as a WorkSource Specialist 2 or equivalent class within the Employment Security Department, or another state's Employment Security agency.
