Job Description:

The Consignment Inventory Associate is primarily responsible for supporting, communicating and implementing all initiatives for Consignment Inventory Program & Direct Purchase customers. Ensures compliance with all company policies, procedures and processes by performing the following duties personally or though subordinates.


The core duties and responsibilities of the Consignment Inventory Associate include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Has general knowledge of inventory & customer service related practices

  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of current home care products and services offered by Surgi-Care.

  • Reviews and processes orders; manages open orders to complete timely

  • Responsible for physical inventory audit scheduling of consignment accounts, customer site visits and reporting for designated territory.

  • Reinforces company policies and procedures of best practices within the consignment inventory program

  • Provides product support and customer inquiries; follows up timely with field staff on outstanding matters

  • Works with the Contracting to set up new customer accounts

  • Supports company metrics to maintain targeted inventory days on hand

  • Utilizes reporting to maximize service levels and provide program transparency to customers

  • Works with the Operations on new product launches

  • Stays fluent in all insurance payor and Medicare requirements and guidelines for continued successful reimbursements.

  • Responsible for administrative office duties associated with Continue Passive Motion rentals, bracing/soft goods inventory, mailroom functions and general office tasks

  • Complies with all applicable Surgi-Care policies and procedures.

  • Complies with Surgi-Care private pay collection policies and procedures.

  • Assists with implementation of quality improvement program to meet Surgi-Care, State, Federal, ABC and CHAP standards



Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order Processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

  • Communicate regularly with internal and external customers via telephone, mail and computer.

  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills in order to interface with internal & external groups to exchange information.

The Breakdown: We are searching for a qualified part-time Inventory Associates to work in our store. This Part-time seasonal positions require at least 16-20 hours/week.
