Job Summary

The Visual Arts Conservatory at California School of the Arts - San Gabriel Valley is seeking to hire a teacher for our Ceramics classes for 11th and 12th grade high school students, beginning August 12th, 2024. Classes are offered from 2:30 PM to 4:45 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This course explores basic techniques of pottery making. It may include aspects of hand-building and throwing on the potter's wheel. Emphasis is on understanding the qualities of clay, appreciation of basic pottery forms, glazing techniques, and the development of personal expression. Historical and cultural concerns in ceramics are included.
