Job Description and Duties
The Conservationist 1 is a crew supervisor position and under the direction of the Conservation Supervisor performs the following duties:
Supervise, Train and Evaluate Corpsmembers
Teach, Direct and Counsel Corpsmembers
Care, Maintenance and Security of State Equipment and Property
Recordkeeping and Personnel Administration

Working Conditions
The person selected for this position will report to the Fortuna CCC Center located at 1500 Alamar Way, Fortuna, CA 95540.
The person selected for this position will report to the Fortuna CCC Center. The center is located in rural Northern California in a small city just south of the Humboldt County seat: Eureka, CA. The selectee will work on projects within the Fortuna Center service area ranging from the Oregon border south to northern Mendocino County, and from the Pacific Ocean East halfway to Redding. Project work is year-round and located in a variety of environments including beach front, gorgeous redwood forests, mountain trails, rural creeks, and State and National parks; locations that people from all over the world travel to see.
