Title:

Configuration/Data Management Analyst

KBR is seeking a professional with experience in Data Management (DM) to support the Cruise Missile Defense Systems (CMDS) Project Office, Stinger Based Systems (SBS) Product Office.

Specific duties include:

a. Perform review of Configuration Management packages.

b. Develop and facilitate coordination of recommended configuration corrective actions and evaluate subsequent effectiveness.

c. Contribute to configuration audits, technical audits, and configuration control boards (CCBs), and provide Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) rate information to the production readiness database; review other contractor prepared audit plans and in-process reviews (IPRs).

d. Develop and analyze recommended specifications, perform sensitivity analyses, and provide technical expertise in allocating the functional system baseline and controlling subsystem interfaces. Prepare recommended performance specifications IAW MIL-STD-961.

e. Generate recommended ECP and Requests for Waiver (RFW) as requested. Provide review and recommend approval/disapproval of ECPs and RFWs.

f. Provide technical expertise in the preparation of configuration management programs and plans.

g. Provide technical expertise to ensure adequacy of Technical Data Packages and performance specifications.

h. Perform engineering analysis of technical documentation to support procurements.

i. Provide technical expertise and implement procedures for configuration identification verification audits, change control, and status accounting.

j. Review ECPs and other technical documentation for recommended foreign disclosure determination.

k. Plan, develop, and facilitate coordination of configuration management program for systems in consonance with established directives, policies, and international agreements.

l. Provide technical expertise and implementation of data management functions including tracking of CDRL deliveries, review, and disposition. Develop subject matter expertise in the function and operation of the PEO MS Management Information System database used for document storage and review.


  • Qualifications:

A BS in a related field and five or more years of experience are required OR 9 years of experience in lieu of degree. A Secret clearance is required.

Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with CM/DM databases, such as PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management, and CM/DM processes is required. Experience working in a government program management office is desired.

Implements a formal CADM program in order to control baselines for classified and unclassified hardware and software code. Develops requirements, documentation development, configuration identification, configuration control, configuration accounting, and/or configuration verification. Performs data resource management duties, such as the development, execution, and supervision of plans, policies, programs, and practices that manage and secure critical information and knowledge of HW/SW programs and systems. Performs configuration and data management assignments requiring use of applied concepts, principles, theories, practices, and techniques. Duties and Responsibilities * Uses the SED automated library storage and control system and the SED Engineering Repository for filing, cataloging software, documentation, and drawings * Establishes baselines for hardware and software systems * Reviews, analyzes, and updates packages and/or documentation for technical content, completeness, proper authorizations, and adherence to specific requirements, policies, and theories * Schedules and provides review packages for SED internal Software Configuration Control Boards and updates the System Configuration Accounting System to reflect SCCB outcomes * Prepares Engineering Change Proposals within MEARS * Prepares revisions and new versions of specifications/documentation/drawings for software * Ensures proper security procedures and markings are followed * Prepares input to Configuration Management Plans, Software Management Plans, and Software Transition Plans IAW SED engineering processes * Provides duplication and distribution of fielding of software products * Participates in configuration audits * Reviews and provides analysis of prime contractors' Configuration Management Programs * Uses the SED CM Tool, Serena Dimensions, for technical system data * Develops and generates special reports and/or weekly progress reports * May develop and prepare specific requirements, standards, plans, and procedures * May provide technical advice and guidance on methods, procedures, and requirements * May provide release desk and help desk support At COLSA, people are our most valuable resource and centered at our core value. Required Experience * Bachelor's degree in business or technical field or equivalent experience (8 years of related experience may be substituted for degree) * 0-5 years of configuration management or related experience * Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance; must be a US citizen * Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages Preferred Qualifications * Active secret security clearance * Proficiency in the use of CADM tools such as Serena Software, Inc Dimensions, CM, and MEARS * Configuration and Data Management (CADM) processes experience * Experience acquiring, demonstrating, and utilizing automated tools (commercial or custom) to improve productivity Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
