As a Technical Consultant, Configuration Management you will be responsible for guiding development teams in promoting, building and staging software builds of mobile and Java-based applications.
You will be working collaboratively with various Engineering teams to help automate and streamline our operations and processes.
As a Technical Consultant, Configuration Management you will be responsible for developing and communicating standards and templates to assist development teams in CI/CD. You will also implement CM processes on projects, including writing CM plans, infrastructure workflow documentation for CIs, automating software builds/deployments and training developers in CM processes.
The Technical Consultant, Configuration Management is also responsible for tools support that includes subject matter expertise, upgrades, troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation and training for the cutting-edge tools like GitLab, Subversion, Jenkins, Artifactory, Quickbuild, Nexus, Ant, Maven.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
Create specifications in ANT, UNIX Korn shell scripts, Windows batch programs, and Package Management systems for engineers to develop scripts for installing, upgrading, configuring, and removing software packages.
Supporting a business-critical system build and deployments
Lead deployment automation implementing Enterprise service strategy utilizing emerging technologies like micro services and cloud
In depth exposure to DevOps processes
Lead automation efforts for Mobile (iOS and Android) application deployments
Assess and develop Level of effort for projects that outlines tasks to be performed and deadlines for each task; have the ability to project manage, as needed, to keep tasks on deadline
Provide consultation to application owners, business partners and peer groups regarding CVS standards and CM best practices
Enable enterprise CM team to deliver, and guide others in delivering, consistently excellent results in activities and work products.
Assess application architecture and development models to formulate branching strategies in software version control tool
Lead and/or advice on Incident management team activity. Diagnose problems, determine solution options with consideration to business impact
Actively participate in piloting and assimilating upcoming relevant technologies into the solution mix.
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in Configuration Management
Experience must include work in complex, dynamic and technically challenging environment
Hands on experience with GitLab, Subversion, Quickbuild, Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Docker, Nexus, Sonarcube,
Hands on experience building and deploying Mobile and Java based applications
Hands on scripting skills using Shell (BASH, KSH), Perl, ANT build scripts
Exposure to cloud architectures and cloud application platforms (PCF, Kubernetes)
Strong understanding of SDLC - participated on many projects through complete lifecycles (requirements, design, development, testing, launch)
Experience with Agile methodology in addition to waterfall
Ability to multi-task and rapid context switch between dynamic project priorities
Strong communication and organizational skills
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
