Key Role:

Serve as a configuration manager supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. Leverage experience in managing configuration programs to ensure that all proposed and actual changes to program technology and documentation are properly staffed, approved, compatible, and tracked. Provide traceability of changes and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with configuration management processes

  • Experience with change control management

  • Experience with Rational

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, Engineering Management, or Mathematics and 5 years of experience in a professional work environment or 8 additional years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of degree

Additional qualifications:

  • Experience with VA or other health-related organizations

Sayres is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to support the LCS program with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in JPAS in Washington, DC. Responsibilities: * Provide program management support to the Post Delivery Principal Assistant Program Manager. * Attend technical meetings and conferences. * Act as a liaison between PMS 501D and the PMS 501 Configuration Manager, PMS 501P, and PMS 505. * Manage the outyear hulls work packages. * Manage the addition of new and change work to the PSA Work Package. * Act as the liaison with the technical community to gather the background information which will allow the Post Delivery Principal Assistant Program Manager to approve or disapprove of work item candidates. * Manage the addition of Engineering Change Proposals to the PSA Work Package. * Attend Change Board meetings and distribute agenda's and minutes. * Review PSA candidates and technical issues weekly with Post Delivery Principal Assistant Program Manager, PMS 501T Post Delivery Engineer, PMS 501M, Ship Design Manager, and Lead Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineer. * Continuously verify Post Delivery hull effectivity for all approved work items (using the daily auto generated Work Item Hull Effectivity report email from Oracle). * Distribute preliminary Engineering Change Proposals to the Post Delivery Team for review and comments on hull impact; collect and send feedback to the PMS 501 Configuration Manager. * Manage the Additional Work Item and Type Commander Work Item processes. * Complete Action/Direction Form and submit to the Post Delivery Work Package Manager and Post Delivery Principal Assistant Program Manager for PSA Work Package consideration/approval. * Communicate with technical POC for any Statement of Work clarification. * Provide the Post Delivery Hull Support Manager with appropriate Statement(s) of Work for tasking approved Additional Work Items and Type Commander Work Items. Qualifications & Clearance Requirements Minimum Skill Sets of Qualified Candidates * Able to work in a ship/shipyard environment. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
