Configuration Management Support Analyst
Provide operations and subject matter expertise support to a government client's configuration management (CM) efforts, as required by the government lead. Provide assistance using the five CM functions, including planning and management, status accounting, audit and verification, configuration identification, and change management.
Maintain one or more automated configuration management tools as a controlled, central repository for the client's CM data. Operate and maintain a CM website that will be used to configure items, baselines, and change artifacts with the goal of controlling all client program environments. Comprehend SBM workflows and application components to successfully test new business processes automated by SBM.
Collaborate with product teams to identify pertinent information, including change packages, release dates, documentation, ICCB gates, scheduling, and milestones regarding any product as it prepares to undergo configuration management. Participate in requested project level and program level meetings to facilitate configuration management processes.
Ability to support the management of CM tool operations, including training users on the tool, tracking change object and change package data in the tool, ensuring system changes are displayed accurately throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC), managing the check-in and check-out process of reviewing, approving, and moving items in and out of the tool in a CM change package report
Ability to support audit and verification functions by implementing and managing baseline auditing tool, comparing an SDD system acquisition baseline report to the production baseline, maintaining an audit schedule, auditing system baselines, and providing functional and physical configuration audit reports
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree
