Position Summary

This role requires a candidate with strong change management skills, data management experience, technical writing, and able to manage audits, lead and mentor. .

Basic Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Education: Associates degree and related technical training with at least 5+ years directly related experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience).

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications

  • PLM tools experience (Wind-Chill, Agile OMNFY, etc)

  • Experience communicating (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required

Desired Skills

  • Relevant experience in the field of Product Data Management

  • Basic understanding of engineering or manufacturing technical data packages

  • Demonstrated growth regarding configuration management principles

  • Detail oriented individual

  • Ability to work independently under supervision of others

  • General computer skills with developed familiarity with product data management tools

  • Experience with CAD data systems desirable

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops and establishes data management documentation based on program requirements

  • Assists in coordinating the development, implementation and maintenance of configuration management systems

  • Participates in design reviews, audits, schedules, budgets, etc.

  • Conduct audits & verification events that include functional configuration audits, co-chair physical configuration audits, audit CSA data and periodic baseline audits

  • Facilitate change control boards (CCB), review changes for accuracy, document and track impacts of change for all functional groups including internal and external customers

  • Control migration of engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) through ERP and procurement migration

  • Utilizes product data management tools

  • Assists in the preparation of contract data item submittals to established delivery schedules

  • Provides support to the Product Data Manager and Engineering technical staff

  • Responsible for regular reporting of progress and status

  • Communicate (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required

  • Analyze proposed engineering design changes to determine the effect on the overall system

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

  • Proven Leadership and mentoring skills

  • Needs strong PLM tools experience (Wind-chill, Agile, OMNFY etc.)

  • Need strong Microsoft suite experience

  • Needs strong knowledge of CM practices and EIA 649

  • Need basic knowledge of ASME drawing standards

  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. up to 25% of the time

Working Conditions

  • Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities: * Contribute to the description, mission statement, roadmap, strategy, process objectives and metrics to measure success and obtain formal approval for the Configuration Management processes and its associated activities while managing the implementation and maintenance of all processes and activities according to the objectives, roadmap and strategy outlined for the Configuration Management process * Design, define and deploy compliance, trend analysis and performance reports on current CIs and their status * Enact audit practices and conduct audits to confirm responsible parties are in compliance with the Configuration Management processes.
