Work with a dynamic team of system engineers and administrators responsible for design decisions, implementation, operations & maintenance, and cybersecurity for large complex resilient hardware and virtualized infrastructure to ensure implemented solutions meet stakeholder needs, standards, and performance requirements.
Conduct process analysis, workflow documentation, change management, and asset management activities.
Drive utilization of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to baseline, identify, track, document, audit, and control the functional and physical characteristics of the system design.
Prepare and maintain documentation pertaining to system operations, cyber operations, programming, and user manuals.
Plan, schedule, and assist with change management processes to support development of systems, products, and processes. This includes preparing meeting agendas and minutes.
Perform review of documentation, drawing, and data sheets.
Perform periodic configuration status accounting through audits of systems baselines and associated configuration related content.
Catalog, track and trace configuration items using attributes and schemas.
Develop, coordinate, and maintain policies and procedures in support of the Change Control Board (CCB) implementation and execution.
Facilitate the CCB process and meeting.
Provide training to personnel on change and configuration management related work instructions and processes.
Ensure compliance with configuration and change management policies and procedures in accordance with DoD standards and specific headquarters organizations as specified.
Provide configuration management reports as requested.
Establish, operate, maintain and sustain a structured and well-kept software media and documentation library.
Position / Candidate Requirements
Minimum government issued Secret Clearance or interim Secret Clearance required.
Bachelor's Degree from accredited university and 5-7 years of related work experience or 10-12 years of equivalent experience and a High School Diploma.
Experience with IT configuration management policies and procedures, instructions, and standards.
Ability and experience communicating directly with government stakeholders up to executive leadership to illicit requirements, request information and/or support, and follow on actions. and
Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet tight deadlines and quality objectives.
Possess strong analytical skills; ability to use MS Excel and other tools to structure, synthesize, analyze, and present data findings.
Ability to take initiative with limited direction.
Committed to completing a project.
Strong MS Suite capability to include Visio and Pivot Table skills.
Desired / Advantageous Qualifications and Experience
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification preferred.
Experience with DoD configuration management policies and procedures, instructions, and standards.
Experience with DoD IT electronic and physical security requirements.
Understanding of DoD standards and best practices.
Experience with DPAS a plus.
