POSITION TITLE: Configuration Management Engineer
Coordinates and facilitates all aspects of configuration management, implementing and enhancing our software application build environments and related processes and tasks.
Manages and controls the software application build process to deliver continuous builds and related testing using a variety of tools/software, e.g., Subversion, Apache Ant build scripts, and Jenkins.
Performs debugging activities to determine where automation failures should be directed to be addressed using Windows, Linux and other approved operating systems troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of Windows server operating environments.
Designs and implements a reliable build automation framework by increasing automation and decrease cycle times with software application builds.
Effectively communicates and collaborates with Development and Quality teams using both oral and written communication skills.
Performs configuration management activities to maintain and manage release and development software code within the software repository to ensure consistency of code check-ins to maintain integrity of software products.
Minimum educational requirements for this position are a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline plus 3 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline and 6 years of experience, in any suitable occupation involving configuration management. Experience must include:
At least 3 years of experience working in configuration management to include experience with Subversion and development experience scripting in tools, developing and maintaining Apache Ant build scripts, and Jenkins scripts.
Experience troubleshooting Windows, Linux and other approved operating systems and application, including Windows server operating environments.
Ability to implement solutions to increase automation and decrease cycle times with software application builds.
Willing to coordinate and facilitate Production software releases during non-standard business hours.
RATE OF PAY: $103, 200
