Job Description:

The National

Solutions Group at Leidos currently has multiple anticipated openings for Configuration Management Analyst (Day staff) to support

a client's requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Northern Virginia area. The

position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and is

contingent upon program award.

The Configuration

Management Analyst will perform

both change management and configuration management functions in support of a

program that supports a 24x7 mission critical customer environment. The Configuration Management Analyst will work

in a highly collaborative environment with teammates, key stakeholders and the

Government customer to ensure mission continuity and support to the IC

community.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Change Management and Configuration Management

functions which includes, but is not limited to Managing the program's process

for reviewing and assessing engineering Requests for Change (RFCs);

  • Follows established procedures for submission, review and

authorization of RFCs.

  • Identifies authoritative reviewers for each RFC.

  • Determines configuration items and environments which require

change control, in support of the customer's change policy and integration

process.

  • Ensures Configuration management functions are adhered to:

version control of configuration items such as documents, as well as the

configuration management of hardware and software configuration management

items.

  • Conducts CM Audits.

  • Recommends change management and configuration management

solutions that effectively meet customer needs.

  • Develops process improvements to enhance change management

and configuration management efficiency.

  • Educates staffs about site change management configuration

management policies and practices.

  • Follows and enforces change management and configuration

management policies and practices.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you

must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • BS degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters

with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

  • Possess

a solid understanding of change management and configuration management process

  • Must be

able to work in a team environment in close proximity to customers

  • Attention

to detail

  • Ability

to manage multiple concurrent tasks

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel,

Word, Project)

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration

  • Previous

experience with local mission domains and customer base is highly desire

  • Familiarity

with national systems missions and concepts

  • Continuous

service improvement or process improvement experience

Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: An I2TS 3 Configuration Manager/Specialist: * Is responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems * Identifies configuration items, implements change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits * Works on teams to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines (development, test, production, ) * Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system * Implements CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life * Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software, licenses, media, and other IT assets * Ensures that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards * Tracks all problems and changes in product documents/software and reports changes, controls standard operating procedures and current configurations * Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures * Manages, maintains and develops CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration. * Works independently and defines and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build * Ensures version control processes, policies and procedures are followed on hardware and software development projects.
