The Configuration Analyst acts as active participant on an I.T. Team which is tasked to collectively work together to achieve the successful implementation and maintenance of core software administration platforms. Plays key role in analyzing requirements, building system configuration components, and supporting testing of the system. Responsible for recording and reporting of information needed to manage the configuration of the product (hardware and/or software). Responsible for providing detailed configuration, testing/quality review and maintenance for production applications. Provides a variety of technical tasks related to assigned area of responsibility under minimal supervision. Works directly with business units and other stakeholders to gather business requirements.

Minimum Starting Hourly Pay Range: $20.74 - $30.46

  • Works as key escalation for point of issues that cannot be resolved by customer contact individuals. This includes responding to support tickets, working through the issue to determine the source, and finding resolution.

  • Develops test scripts for various delivery objectives to ensure a thorough test is completed before any changes are made. Once testing is complete, reports outcome of the test and any recommendations for changes or implementation.

  • Performs key tasks associated with the support of the products assigned.

  • Creates documentation of processes and procedures related to various products being supported.

  • Works with the team to evaluate data provided by various systems and determines appropriate course of action.

  • Works directly with users and customers to identify needs and resolves software configuration problems.

  • Monitors and troubleshoots common and daily tasks, events and changes.

  • Writes internal knowledge base and customer service materials.

  • Reproduces, tests, resolves and documents software bugs, defects and problems.

  • Assists in configuration of company applications based on business requirements.

  • Develops configuration requirements to document and obtains approval from business owners.

  • Plans and executes assigned configuration tasks within deadlines.

  • Provides system configuration support based on changing business needs.

  • Develops and maintains configuration policies and procedures.

  • Reviews and recommends changes to existing configuration processes.

  • Analyzes and resolves configuration issues in a timely manner.

  • This is the skill set for an individual at mid point of position. Based upon banding of grades, the skills needed may vary.

The Say Sales Analyst analyzes and documents current department processes and procedures and initiates any process improvement changes with management approval. Reviews and researches system related problems and potential improvements and works closely with business partners, Information Services, and vendors to seek resolution. Serves as a department team lead and liaison for projects involving new software systems and business process changes. May create user stories to guide system development and conduct user acceptance testing if appropriate. Provides analysis and recommendations on the implementation of new processes and procedures. Minimum starting salary: $43,735.00 - $63,677.00 #CB# If interested, please apply by: 01/23/2020 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides team leadership and participates in developing business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria along with monitoring of new business processes and computer systems for the department. * Works closely with vendors, Information Services and other departments affected by the new business process and/or system. * Represents the department in development of new business processes/computer system and problem resolution. * Modifies processes or systems in order to ensure business needs are met and related customer, agent and employee questions/problems are resolved. * Assists with the testing of all functional changes and new system implementation. * Coordinates and performs user acceptance testing of new system functionality. * Serves as a central resource and assists with the training of the new processes/computer system. * Works under general supervision and is accountable for computer system and business process development, testing and training. * Serves as a resource for problem identification and is responsible for accurate resolution. * Assists with implementation of new systems and business processes and the training associated with them. * Responsible for monitoring and ensuring maintenance of data integrity and quality control of systems. * Responsible for producing reports and running queries to keep department management informed. * This position may require travel. * Performs other related duties as requested by the supervisor. SKILLS, EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE * Completion of a four (4) year college degree and/or successful completion of some industry course work preferred. * Requires department-related experience and detailed knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, operations, and philosophies, as well as business rules, regulations and applicable state laws. * Thorough understanding of systems and business processes used by the department and the technical skills to demonstrate that knowledge. * Knowledgeable of project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile Scrum. * Excellent prioritization skills to assess project impact and potential impacts toward key objectives. * Superior data analysis skills, investigative, and decision-making abilities. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other tools to analyze data in order to identify trends and make recommendations. * Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate needs to Information Services, present business case for proposed changes, and to gain acceptance of new systems and practices. * Ability to manage time effectively, maintain schedules to meet deadlines, and work well within a team environment. * Superior interpersonal skills to effectively function in lead roles, train others on system and/or procedures, and conduct meetings.
