SAIC is looking for a configuration analyst, in Colorado Spring, CO.

  • Perform configuration management / data management functions: planning, configuration identification, status accounting, configuration control, audits and record management.

  • Develop and maintain Configuration Management (CM) Plans and audit hardware and software change procedures, integration and documentation to verify compliance with CM plans and procedures.

  • Refine and maintain local Configuration Control Board (CCB) procedures, draft CCB meeting agendas, conduct CCB meetings, and provide post meeting minutes.

  • Must be capable of participating in design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software and hardware baseline for systems across three classification domains at two separate site locations.

  • Work with RTD&E, IT and Network personnel to manage integration of new hardware and software systems.

  • Provide support in developing and implementing the hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Coordinate configuration change requests and modification records for Configuration Control Board adjudication in accordance with CM policy.

  • Represent the CM team at program meetings ensuring that CM concerns are communicated and impacts to CM are brought back for issue resolution.

  • Maintain a tracking system for all workstations and their configurations, system servers and their configurations, internal network devices and their configurations, and specific applications and their versions.

  • Perform equipment, software and/or documentation audits and develop audit reports.

  • DoD 8570.01 (IAT Level II) compliant with one of the following certificates

  • CompTIA Security CE

  • GSEC

  • SSCP

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or nine (9) years of experience in lieu of dregree

  • Experience in developing Configuration Management Plans.

  • Ability to write, interpret, and execute software configuration management plans and procedures; and audit software engineering inputs to develop a software baseline

  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM or similar CM tools).

  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

This position is to support the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force and Air Defense (AFAD) for three (3) years of operations and maintenance support of the EADGE-T system. The candidate will work in Colorado Springs for 1 month (March 2020) and then report to work in the UAE in April 2020 for 3yrs. The candidate will work a standard UAE 40-hour work week, having Fridays and Saturdays off, as well as other AFAD declared holidays (thus matching the AFAD work week). Basic Qualifications: Ability to develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and deliver internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. Develop software configuration standards and policies for AFAD use. Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. Maintain the Software Configuration Management System including collection or distribution of code documentation, problem report and change request processing, software build documents, and delivery of software products to operational environments. * Strong system engineering skills * Experience in international programs, preferably direct commercial sales, firm fixed price * Strong communication skills, including communicating with customers whose first language is Arabic * Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. * Willing to take an expatriate assignment for three years * Current / active DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Skills: Ability to support the AFAD in the Software Build process and facilitate ERBs.
