The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the oldest national civil engineering society in America, is currently seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to provide conference coordination and marketing/communication support for the goals and activities of our Construction Institute (CI).
Provide logistical and operational support to conference(s) including but not limited to: development of meeting resumes, and specifications; communication of meeting requirements to vendors and facility staff such as AV, Catering, Hotel, Convention Center, Transportation, Security, etc.
Negotiate contracts with selected vendors
Provide on-site conference support, including vendor management
Manage Institute communications
Produce marketing collateral for Institute and Institute sponsored events
Develop and execute proactive outreach strategy, to engage with online influencers and other key targets to amplify CI's social media reach
Ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent broad knowledge
2-4 years of related experience
Demonstrated success supporting the planning and execution of professional conferences
A desire and willingness to travel
Association and/or volunteer management experience
Excellent writing, proofreading, and research skills
A mastery of MS Office
