Concrete Quality Control Field Technician - Torrington

O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking a Concrete Quality Control Field Technician to join our team. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.

The primary responsibility of this position is to test ready-mixed concrete. This position involves close collaboration with concrete plants, lab personnel, and government agencies to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing on concrete and aggregate products to ensure products meet or exceed the applicable specifications

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of testing results

• Achieve and maintain familiarity with the operation of all production equipment and facilities

• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of testing results

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with concrete inspection preferred

• Experience with relevant lab equipment and testing procedures

• Proficiency in computer use for data recording and analysis

• Ability to lift and handle a minimum of 75 lbs

• Demonstrated critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated active listener, effectively able to address customer needs and solve problems

• Certifications in concrete quality control are a plus but not required
