Concrete Carpenter - Cincinnati

SUMMARY Jostin Carpenters with concrete form experience will report to the site Superintendent. The person in this position needs to have the ability to be flexible as this position may perform various functions throughout a shift.

The person in this position will need to be comfortable working in a public setting and be willing to commute within a 125-mile radius of Cincinnati. Jostin requires all employees to work collaboratively as a team with other Jostin employees and trade partners. Jostin is currently hiring for all three levels (1,2, &3) of Concrete Forming Carpenters.

CONCRETE FORMING CARPENTER 1 A Concrete Forming Carpenter 1 requires the mastering of the Laborer classification skill set. Below are requirements for knowledge and skills for this level of Concrete Forming Carpenter.

Knowledge: Knowledge of commercial concrete construction Knowledge of power tools Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices on a construction site Skills: The skills to properly align walls The skill to visualize wall layout Install waler brackets Install turnbuckles Establish grade Set bulkheads Knowledge of the granular fills Set batter boards CONCRETE FORMING CARPENTER 2 A Concrete Forming Carpenter 2 should have approximately 2-3 years of experience and meet the requirements of a Concrete Forming Carpenter 1. This person must also have the additional skills listed below:

Additional Skills: Read blueprints Complete pre-layout of footers Place anchor bolts Complete pre-layout of walls Forming and layout of stairs and walls CONCRETE FORMING CARPENTER 3 A Concrete Forming Carpenter 3 should have approximately 3-5 years of experience and meet the requirements of a Concrete Forming Carpenter 2. This person must also have the additional knowledge and skills listed below:
