Knife River has an immediate opening for a Concrete Batch Plant Operator/Plant Supervisor in Portland (Linnton area), Oregon. We offer competitive wages with a full benefits package.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Batch ready mix concrete via computer batch plant control systems.

  • Safely perform all the duties associated with batching concrete while actively supporting and participating in current safety program.

  • Effective supervision of Ready Mix Drivers at site location.

  • Batch plant/site maintenance including all environmental reporting.

  • Maintain raw material inventories.

  • Must be able to operate loader and skid steer.

  • Must have a positive attitude.

  • Work hours will vary and may require occasional nights and weekend work.

  • Must be able to work overtime hours if needed.

  • Other misc. duties as directed by division manager.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    - Must have good organizational skills and good communication skills as well as writing skills.
  • Need to have basic computer and math skills.

  • Must be able to maintain workflow in area of responsibility.

  • Must be able to handle breakdowns and difficult situations.

  • Knowledge of local area and market helpful.

  • Previous ready mix experienced preferred.

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
