The Concierge desk is staffed from 8 am
4 pm Monday
Friday and from 8 am
12 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Ensure each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and thanking each customer. Adhere to the 5 and 10 customer service rule.
Use the scripted greeting to answer the information phone line promptly within three rings.
Assist visiting clergy and guests with room information and directions.
Provide patient transport, as needed, by contacting the applicable department of service.
Arrange taxi service for patients and visitors at the Medical Center.
Maintain good communication with concierges on all shifts.
Ensure that all vendors sign in and have the correct identification for the area of the Medical Center they are visiting.
Provide a listing of local amenities for visitors including local hotels, restaurants, flower shops, pharmacies, etc.
Monitor the lobby and alert security of any possible issues or concerns.
Inform Environmental Services of any spills, hazards, or shortages of supplies in the restrooms.
Maintain the cleanliness of the main lobby and its surrounding area.
Respond to all situations with good judgment and in a professional, calm, and efficient manner.
Utilize appropriate resources to access hospital information, employee locations, and/or phone numbers.
Demonstrate familiarity with the area that surrounds the Medical Center in order to assist all patients and guests.
Adhere to HIPAA, The Joint Commission, and Crossing Rivers Health standards while displaying the mission, vision, and values of Crossing Rivers Health.
Perform other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience: Prior customer service within a front desk or concierge experience in a hotel, hospital, medical or dental office, preferred. Knowledge of and experience using various computerized and or radio based communication systems preferred.
Proficient in basic computer skills
Demonstrate ability to interact and communicate with all customers and employees in a positive, professional manner effectively dealing with difficult situations and resolve customer service concerns as needed.
