Position Title: Concessions Supervisor

Department: Food and Beverage / Impact Catering

Reports To: Concessions Manager; Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

Leads stand by ensuring accurate beginning and ending inventories, proper sanitation and food preparation, and adherence to all liquor laws.
Ensure customer leaves with a satisfying meal, drink and/or snack.
Ensures concession stands/areas are stocked, prepped and cleaned, prior to the event/show.
Takes complete and accurate inventories including imputing the inventory counts into the MICROS system.
Assists group/employees to ensure readiness and proper food production for events/shows.
Ensures high quality food and an exceptional customer service experience is provided to all customers including:
Coordinating with group lead, or employees, in organizing the stand duties so that the stand can open on time.
Handling customer complaints by listening to their concerns and addressing issues to the best of your ability.
Ensuring the group/employees maintain proper sanitation and keep inventory organized.
Ensuring the group/employees are following proper food preparation.
Maintaining an awareness of prep levels and on-going cooking of product throughout events/shows.
Periodically testing food temperatures throughout the course of events/shows and maintaining records.
Ensuring that presentation, food portion control and quality are consistently maintained.
Manages by observing and walking the stand, monitoring all activities and ensuring that all POS (points of sale), food prep and cooking areas are properly staffed.
Enforces uniform and alcohol policies.
Reviews detailed cleaning of stand at the end of each event.
Is available on non-event days to make ready the concession stands and to do a pre-event count of stand locations that will be used for the upcoming shows/events.
Document incidents.

General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Perform detailed work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment handling multiple tasks with flexibility in a calm, professional manner.
Effectively communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, clients, suppliers and guests in a clear, business-like, respectful and personable manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative environment.
Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming, i.e., proper uniform, clean, wrinkle free.
Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
Speak, read and write in English.

Additional Job Requirements

Must have a current ABLE license or be able to obtain one.
Concession stand experience in all working areas.
Valid food-handling certificate preferred.

Physical Working Conditions

Long hours, nights and weekends during peak periods in a high-stress environment.
Frequent or continual movement from place to place with normal physical mobility over long distances with ease, managing assigned tasks throughout various indoor and outdoor locations within and around the property and in potentially inclement/severe weather conditions.
Regularly lift, carry and put away items weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and carry heavier items and/or assist others in lifting heavier objects, as job demands.
Walk and/or stand for extended periods in addition to other prolonged physical exertions including seeing, hearing, reaching, grasping, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, crouching, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in awkward positions and tight areas. (The vision requirements include the ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision and close vision.)
