Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Computerized Manufacturing and Machining (CMM) Instructor is to provide quality instruction to students at Hopkinsville Community College.
Job Duties:
Effectively teach and coordinate Computerized Manufacturing and Machining (CMM) courses via face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction, and serve as the program coordinator. Campus location may vary.
Responsible for program effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, continuous review, assessment, and development.
Create and actively engage all areas of the CMM sector's academic initiatives to include any credential audits and apprenticeship relationships within the community.
Provide for and be actively involved in on-going evaluations, development, and enhancement of CMM offerings.
Develop strategic plan for improving the CMM program to include scheduling, recruitment efforts to draw students into the CMM program offerings, advising, and advisory board effectiveness.
Maintain community relations within the service area, and oversee an active advisory council for the CMM Program.
Participate in academic and student enhancement activities, including student advising.
Maintain and improve, through professional development, competence in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques.
Participate in internal and external service activities (college committees, system committees, community relations).
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree and four years of related work experience in the field and/or appropriated apprenticeship.
Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction, student learning, and instructional and institutional effectiveness.
Demonstrated effective technology skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational and human relations skills.
Demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college concept and team management.
Demonstrated commitment to the KCTCS/Hopkinsville Community College strategic plan
