Salary: $22.00 hourly, 25 hours a week

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the computer technician is primarily responsible for installing, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting computers, peripherals, and software.

Job Duties

• Install, upgrade, configure, troubleshoot, and repair computers, peripherals, and software

• Assist with installation, upgrade, and maintenance of computer network equipment and software

• Assist end-users with technology issues

• Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least three months paid work experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computers and related technologies OR currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited institution

• Professional experience in a higher education environment

• Conversational ability or fluency in a second language

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Specific Technology Skills: Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office Professional Desktop, Working knowledge of mobile device technologies, and cloud-based technologies.

• General Technology Skills: MS suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems

• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately as well as accept supervisory input and constructive feedback

• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 15 pounds.

• Ability to frequently work in tight, elevated, and low spaces.
