The Computer Systems Technician provides frontline support to internal end users, which includes installing and trouble-shooting software applications, maintaining/upgrading PC hardware, and performing basic networking functions.

Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for some of the following job functions:
Responds to and addresses requests for technical assistance reported via help desk ticket system, telephone, email, or in person timely and professionally. Thoroughly documents progress and provides continued updates to customers and management through resolution.
Identifies, researches and resolves a variety of technical problems and routine issues. Properly triages and escalates issues when assistance is needed. Applies diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
Creates disk images for desktop and laptop computers.
Installs and maintains hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and scanners on end user premises.
Installs phone system software and provides technical phone support to onsite and remote users.
Loads approved software applications such as operating systems, Microsoft Office, in-house applications, etc.
Provisions employee laptop/desktop equipment and peripherals for new hires.
Replaces/repairs defective hardware or damaged software packages.
Provides tutorials as necessary on how users access our systems remotely using, VPN.
Develops, demonstrates, and maintains working knowledge of Windows platforms.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline preferred.
Minimum of one year of proven experience in a desktop support or technical support role
Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds
Able to travel to our other field offices
Certifications: A+, N+, or MCDST certification desired but not required.
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of standard computer hardware, software and peripheral devices.
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Working knowledge of office operations and current technologies in telecommunications, data entry, and file management
