Computer Specialist II

Provides desktop support for all departmental computer hardware and software in a Microsoft Windows enterprise environment which includes installation, configuration and upgrading of new hardware/software, troubleshooting and problem resolution of hardware/software-related issues and end-user support/training. Provides system administration for designated applications including virus scanning and operating system updates; assists with the management of hardware and software inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field; minimum of one (1) year of experience in the support of Local Area Network (LAN)/Server or minicomputer-based systems.

Equivalencies:

1.Unrelated Associate's Degree and two (2) years of related experience

2.Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification and three (3) years of related experience.

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Installing and troubleshooting software/hardware in a Windows network environment; adding and supporting users in Active Directory; working with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager; configuring and deploying desktops with imaging software.

Also desirable: Related Bachelor's Degree.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
