About the Position: Positions are being filled under the Expedited Hiring Authority (EHA) for Defense Acquisition Workforce Positions in accordance with 10 USC 1705(g).

Positions are located with the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, Electronic Proving Ground (EPG), Office of the Technical Director, Office of Technology Development, Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Serves as a technical lead, responsible for a variety of software development efforts that require application of computer science and a working knowledge of computer hardware capabilities.
Provides expertise in Project Management throughout all life cycle phases to include the concept, plan, design, prototype, test, deployment and support of software systems
Applies technical expertise in the analysis of critical issues relative to technical and operational effectiveness
Responsible for management, integration, and coordination of work performed by contractor teams and their performance of assigned tasks
Development of graphical user interfaces; and general knowledge of a range of Communications systems.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes planning, developing and completing systems design projects; resolving problems or providing technical guidance or assistance; and conducting operational testing of systems or equipment.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).


GS-1550 series has a basic education requirement.

Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) first developed the JDMT in 2007 as a MS Access database software program to keep data collection records and sort through the records to support analysis and documentation of test results. JDMT has since evolved into a web-based tool with specialized section supporting four testing areas of Operational Testing, Interoperability Testing, Unified Capability Testing and Standards Conformance Testing. JDMT is continuing to evolve into a cradle to grave JITC program support to include importing of system Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF). Creating testable requirements from the DoDAF products. Supporting Science Based Test Design from the requirements. Support generation of Test Plans. Support recording of test artifacts and provide feedback on test status. Record test incident reports. Support analysis of collected data and reporting support reporting test results and generation of certification tables. JDMT is supporting JITC providing standardized testing support in a highly proficient and repeatable fashion. Candidate(s) for the JDMT team will continue development of JDMT to support each of JITC's testing division with Data Management Support. JDMT has many users and requires helpdesk support. Additionally, JDMT is a sophisticated software package with many capabilities, which requires the development of a formal training program to support the JITC testing workforce.
