Computer Repair Technician job details:
Schedule: 1st shift | Monday - Friday
Pay: $15/hr.
Essential tasks:
Review customer requests and identify details of equipment issues to be resolved
Disassemble machines to examine parts for wear or defects, using hand or power tools and measuring devices
Conduct diagnosis of issues according to customer specifications
Communicate with or perform rework to ensure successful and efficient repair of units
Repair laptop or desktop units according to requirements, using hand or power tools and measuring devices
Reassemble machines after making repairs or replacing parts
Analyze equipment performance assess equipment functioning
Clean or adjust mechanical parts to maintain machines' operating efficiency and to prevent breakdowns or repeat return for repair
Install and configure new equipment, including operating software or peripheral equipment as required
Read and research specifications, such as blueprints, charts, or schematics, to determine machine settings or adjustments
Maintain repair parts inventories and place orders for any additional parts needed for repairs
Run necessary tests
Perform quality check procedure
Other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager
Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of computer repair/assembly experience. Additional requirements include troubleshooting, performing QC checks, working in a quiet environment, and Microsoft Office experience.
