Job Description

  • Minimum of 3 years HANDS-ON computer repair experience:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading PC, printer, tablets and various other handheld hardware

  • Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving problems and issues

  • Network connectivity wired and wireless configurations

  • Software interoperability among wireless and wired networking components

  • Understanding and skills with the execution of: TCP/IP, Hypertext Transfer Protocol, and HTML

  • Ability to quickly triage equipment and following Red cross procedure, return to service as soon as possible

  • Experience with updating software and configurations on multiple types equipment

  • The capacity to communicate to non-technical customers concerning eBDR equipment to resolve their issues.

  • Meets departmental performance indicator standards on a consistent basis.

  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation.

  • Maintains a clean and safe work place.

  • Perform other related duties as necessary to support organizational, regional and departmental business and quality goals.

Associates Degree and 3 years hands on computer repair experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Or documented high level performance as an American Red Cross Biomedical Equipment Tech I. Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, biomedical and medical staff, and the general public. A basic knowledge of e-mail, database management, spreadsheet, and word processor applications. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary. Ability to keep neat and accurate records. Must be willing to be multi-task trained. A valid Drivers license with a good driving record. Ability to take support call.
