COMPUTER PROGRAMMER (SARM-18-1607-W):
Bowhead seeks a Computer Programmer to join our team in Crane, IN at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane). The Computer Programmer will be responsible for applying standard programming procedures and knowledge of programming to assist the Small Arms Weapon Systems Division. The Computer Programmer develops and modifies programs that are linked to several other programs and ensures the programs are compatible to each other.
Essential functions will include:
Designing and implementing modifications to files and records within programs per direction from higher level staff
Monitoring the operation of programs, troubleshooting and repairing problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding
Completing testing of programs, documenting all steps and maintaining operator instructions for programs developed and modified
Will access and edit the web server at the data center using experience with MS SQL Server 2008

Requirements BA/BS from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Programming or related field is preferred but experience commiserate with the above duties is required
Must have experience with MS SQL Server 2008, SSIS, IIS 6/7 and Access 2007/2010
Must have experience with Adobe SFA Forms and Microsoft Active Directory
Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certifications and complete a minimum of forty (40) hours of continuous learning per year to maintain credentials required for accessing and editing the web server
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
