Computer Operator II (Rotating Shift)

Expected Starting Salary Range: 19.73 - 24.05

As a Computer Operator II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and integrity of our data center environment. This role is essential in supporting critical hospital operations and maintaining high standards of system uptime and security.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations:

• Perform report processing and distribution for multiple applications.

• Willing to work a rotating shift.

• Provide after-hours support for hospital pagers.

• Complete system tape backup processes and offsite rotations when required.

• Ensure security processes are strictly followed by anyone entering the data center.

• Maintain system uptime and ensure the integrity of the facility through all data center operations.

• Responsible for installation and de-installation of all Data Center computer hardware.

• Monitor system interfaces and initiate corrective actions following established protocols.

• Monitor data center environmental infrastructure and collaborate with building engineers to resolve any issues.

Customer Service:

• Ensure outstanding end-user support, including ongoing monitoring of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for incident management.

• Collaborate with other functional areas to ensure customer-centered incident management and support.

• Adhere to and promote adoption of change management policies and procedures.

• Model exceptional customer service behaviors, ensuring timely and effective follow-up with customers.

Collaboration:

• Work cooperatively with team members to achieve group goals.

• Adjust one's style and efforts to complement those of others on the team.

• Demonstrate pleasant, agreeable, and easy-to-work-with demeanor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline

Preferred:

• Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment

• Proficiency in data center operations workflows and processes.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols and procedures.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on maintaining system uptime and integrity.

• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across various functional areas.
