Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems or Computer Science, preferably.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a similar position.
- Essential Skills and Abilities.
- Ability to work with servers and perimeter equipment along with their communication lines.
- Oriented towards task completion with deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and data processing.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to express oneself orally and in writing in English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate personal computers, servers, mainframes, dot matrix printers, laser printers, and other electronic equipment for data processing.
- Monitor the operation of communication lines and systems, report any malfunctions, and follow up on their repair.
- Provide telephone support to users in case of any difficulties with the computer, system, or peripheral equipment.
- Process the production corresponding to their work shift and print or send the necessary reports.
- Perform the necessary backups during their shift and send them to the vault, both internal and external.
- Maintain a log of processes in the operations book.
- Keep inventory of all necessary materials and supplies. Prepare orders for these when needed.
- Prepare and maintain a record of problems, operations, deficiencies, and malfunctions of equipment.
Distinctive Aspects of the Job
- Availability to work alternate shifts and extended hours.
- Availability to take training, certifications, or courses related to the information systems area.
- Availability to travel within Puerto Rico, according to the company's needs.
The position involves rotating shifts. Although currently, the resource will be in the first and second shifts, if a need arises, they will be placed in the third shift.Shifts:
- First shift: 5:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Second shift: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Third shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
