Operates on-line peripheral equipment to include high speed impact printer, laser printer, mountable direct access storage devices, reader equipment, high speed tape drives and computer microfiche equipment.
Sets up equipment, monitors the operation, and identifies and resolves problem situations according to policies.
Breaks down and distributes computer output listings, following procedures concerning the protection of information.
Performs quality checks on all output and input material, looking for printing defects and legibility, in addition, to creases and tears in output medium.
Records equipment malfunctions and determines the feasibility of manually correcting unscheduled halts, withdrawing program from the processing system or stopping production and referring problem to supervisor.

This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-6) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: Assisting with operating peripheral equipment such as printers, storage devices and other peripheral equipment.
Substitution of education for experience: Successfully completed one (1) year of graduate education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement when education is directly related to the position being filled. To be creditable, education must have been obtained from an accredited college or university. (You MUST submit transcripts or proof of education to verify your claim.)
Combination of experience and education: I do not possess the full amounts of experience and education as are described above. However, I have a percentage of the education and experience which when combined totals 100% of the necessary education and experience to qualify for this position.
