Trinidad State College seeks a highly motivated, dynamic individual to provide relevant and rigorous instruction to students in our Computer Information Systems Program to provide them with the skills and knowledge to become productive employees or to successfully transfer to a four-year institution to continue their education. This is a full-time position beginning the fall semester of 2024.
Teaches courses as assigned within faculty workload guidelines and meets all scheduled classes.
Provides adequate preparation and development of material for both campus/online courses.
Maintains program equipment, lab materials and supplies.
Participates in marketing, recruitment, and retention activities.
Maintains regularly scheduled office hours for consultation or advisement with students.
Assists in the development and implementation of approved program curriculum and syllabi; participates in cooperative programming with colleagues.
Assesses program and course-level student learning outcomes relative to industry demand and transfer. Participates in college-wide assessment of student learning activities and/or projects.
Maintains credentialing requirements.
Perform other related duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or higher in CIS, IT or related field
The successful candidate must submit to and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check.
Successful candidate must apply for and complete CTE credential.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Industry certifications such as CompTIA S+, EC-Council CEH, CISSP, CompTIA CASP+ Security Essentials, CISM, CCNA Security or similar professional credentials.
Three or more years work experience in database or related field in last 7 years.
Teaching or training experience.
Risk Management as it applies to Cybersecurity or similar professional credentials.
Knowledge of Computer Forensics or similar credentials.
Ability to recruit and develop community partners in business and industry.
