We're headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut and have 22 offices worldwide. The Computer Hardware/Software Technician will report to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain Operations in Monroe, CT.

A Look Inside the Job:

  • Responsible for upholding the quality standards and providing continuous feedback to improve the customer experience

  • Configure and inspect all assembled BCDR and Network appliances accurately and under high volume while documenting and troubleshooting any non-conformance components against strict compliance guidelines and communicate with our production control and inventory teams

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software components using Linux, Windows, and ZFS command-line utilities, as well as provide in-depth root cause analysis of nonconforming behavior

  • Must be comfortable working with electric and hand tools on hardware components

  • Inspect and configure components against work order BOM's

  • Document and report any non-conforming components

  • Adhere to Invoice/Replacement SLA's

About You:

  • A+ Certification (Preferred)

  • Strong Communication and analytical skills

  • Experience with Linux, ZFS, and Windows Command-line utilities

  • Familiarity with PC components

  • Ability to lift 75 pound devices

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Exposure with ticketing systems

Louisiana Delta Community College, located in beautiful northeast Louisiana, boasts eight campuses and two sites located in: Monroe, West Monroe, Bastrop, Jonesboro, Ruston, Tallulah, Lake Providence, and Winnsboro with a service area of approximately 2,100 square miles, LDCC is positioning itself to meet the growing needs of her communities. Major employers in the service area include ANGUS Chemical, Chase, CenturyLINK, Foster Farms, and St. Francis Medical Center. LDCC offers transfer programs, career and technical education, health science programs, adult education, and customized training. LDCC has an operating budget of approximately 32 million dollars and serves about 9,000 credit and non-credit students annually. The School of Liberal Arts & Business and Technology consists of the following programs: Business and Technology, Business Office Administration, Care and Development of Young Children, General Studies, ICT: Computer Networking Support, LA Transfer of Arts, and Teaching. Examples of Duties * provide classroom instruction in field/discipline for day and/or evening classes * may teach up to 12 credit hours or 29 contact hours Minimum Qualifications Academic courses: All candidates must hold a minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited college with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. Experience in teaching is desired. Official copy of transcripts are needed along with the application. Technical courses: Minimum of a high school diploma/GED, Associate Degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university (Bachelors Degree is preferred), four years or the equivalent of four years full-time work experience in the field related to the occupational program, and any certifications required by a regulatory agency or licensing board. All candidates must possess intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and/or Microsoft PowerPoint. Ability to provide good customer service, the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment. PREFERRED: Experience with higher education, knowledge of BANNER.
